Stage Espresso

Since 2017 Stage has been serving the best coffees we can find. We have a regularly changing menu of single origin coffees from a range of fantastic producers and coffee roasters, available as espresso or filter.

Our breakfast and lunch menu is fresh, seasonal and cooked to order. We also offer pastries made every morning, alongside a variety of cakes, cookies and brownies, all made in-house, with a number of vegan and gluten-free options available.

James Hoffman's "The Fermentation Project"

Following on from the success of "The Decaf Project" in 2024, James Hoffman has this year collaborated with Lucia Solis to split a coffee lot and apply four different processing methods to it.

Limited coffee was available, and again as in 2024 we're hosting an event so that as many people as possible can give it a try.

We'll be tasting the selection of coffees roasted by Skylark coffee (based in Brighton). Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to really taste how processing can affect your coffee!

An Overly Oaty Occasion

Like oat milk? Hate oat milk?

There's absolutely loads out there are all of it tastes a bit different. We want to establish (through the power of getting a load of people to try a load of oat milk), which oat milks are best, and for what.

Tasting will be done blind, there will be a range of oat, and maybe a wildcard or two.

Coffee at Home

Take home a bag of coffee from our retail shelf, available whole bean or ground to suit your brew method.

We also stock a range of home brewing equipment, including Hoop, AeroPress, Chemex and Toddy brewers, along with V60 and other filters, kettles, grinders, reusable coffee cups and other essentials for your home coffee setup.

Our Corner

Our historic building from the 1860s is nestled on the corner of Great George Street and Oxford Row, with a view of the striking Grade I listed hospital buildings of Leeds General Infirmary.

Inside, the building retains plenty of its original charm, with tall arched windows, decorative details and a sense of history that gives Stage a unique atmosphere.

Board Games

Take a break from the monotony of your day, grab a game, and enjoy some relaxed fun with friends or by yourself. Our board game selection covers classics and newer options, so there's something for everyone. Some of our larger tabletop games like Carrooka or Crokinole may not be available during busier times.

Dog Friendly
